The problem is: that link no longer seems to work with the new Mojave app store. Any ideas?
Also, I can't seem to find a way using the new app store to search my old purchases. Any ideas?

If you still need OS X El Capitan, use this App Store link: Get El Capitan. To download it, your Mac must be using macOS High Sierra or earlier.
If you know anyone with High Sierra or earlier you could get them to download it or if you take an 8GB flash drive to an Apple Store or AASP perhaps they would give you a copy.
To see your past purchases click on your user name on the bottom left. Sign in if necessary.
Yes, but I don't see any of the OS releases there. I've looked over my whole history a few times (manually, as there is no search), but don't find it.
Is this unintentional or did Apple announce somewhere that the new app store would lose such functionality, including the ability to download old OS. I'm inclined to think it is an oversight.
Thank you dialabrain, that's very helpful. I missed the part on the page that said, "or earlier." Duh. Will follow up with my local Apple Store (unless there is a way to download it over the internet, which should be pretty easy--but I guess not).
I'm not running Mojave, but isn't there a Purchases tab?
