Mojave time machine back up failing

I thought a 2TB TM would cover that and more, I need to rethink how I use it, or is it using us?

Use the About this Mac storage review function described above and look for the biggest (multiple GB) file. It is most likely to be that.

Could even be something like the imovie library.

Thanks, but my current backup is only 1.8GB large. So I don‘t think a huge file causes this issue.

It seems to be a sandbox error with the local snapshots in „Volumes“ any idea how to fix that?

I described only my bypass.

It seem that only Apple can fix that by releasing Mojave

the thing is, I don't have a folder called "~/Library/Containers" at all.

I am on Mojave 10.14.4

Any other suggestions please?

It does not surprise me. Out of interest why do you think you need third party security software on a Mac?

It's a bit off topic but for me it's rubbish to think that there are no viruses in the Mac world.

If your mac connects to an office network then it can pass on windows viruses in email attachments to other users and so the IT guys may insist, but your Mac itself is not in danger.

I haven't had a successful backup in a couple of weeks and it totally solved the issue for me!

Well, closing all my apps would be fun to try, except TM is backing up on its own every hour, and I'm kinda working. But backups seem to be working again.

It worked only once, so NightOwl wasn‘t the issue. I tried to backup in safe mode, so no app is running in the background, but it still didn‘t finish.
