Magic Mouse Secondary Click Not Working on macOS Mojave 10.14

Ever since upgrading my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro Retina 15" to macOS Mojave 10.14, the secondary click (a.k.a. right click) is no longer working on my Magic Mouse.

I have already:

  1. Shift-Option Click Bluetooth Menu -> Debug -> Reset the Bluetooth module
  2. Shift-Option Click Bluetooth Menu -> Debug -> Factory Reset all connected Apple devices
  3. SMC Rest (per Apple Support's advise)
  4. NVRAM Reset (per Apple Support's advise)
  5. Tested with a 3rd Party USB Mouse -> Right Click works without any issues

But the issue persists with the Magic Mouse...

Anyone else having this issue and did you find a way to resolve the issue?

I saw one person on another site having this issue as well.

I am assuming that it will require an OS update to be pushed out by Apple.

The fix is to delete com.apple.Bluetooth.plist. Before you do this you will need to:

  • Plug in a USB mouse (unless you have a built in Touchpad)
  • Go to System Preferences > Bluetooth Turn and off Bluetooth
  • Go to HD/Library/Preferences
  • Delete com.apple.Bluetooth.plist
  • Restart your Mac
  • Go to System Preferences > Bluetooth and turn on Bluetooth
  • Delete all listed items
  • Add back your Bluetooth mouse etc.
  • Go to System Preferences > Mouse and place a tick in Secondary click

This worked for me.
