Can’t get full screen on UKTV streaming from iPad

If you use Screen Mirroring from an iPad, then the mirrored screen aspect ratio (4:3) will not match the TV screen aspect ratio (16:9). If the app UKTV Play doesn’t automatically switch to movie-only AirPlay, then see if you can find an in-app AirPlay icon to use instead of Screen Mirroring, if they allow that yet.
You could try AirPlay from an iPhone instead, which has a 16:9 screen. Does that improve the situation?
You could try the no-more-letterbox zoom feature, by double tapping the touch surface (without clicking) on the Siri Remote. Not sure if that will work, though.
