Sync your content using Wi-Fi
After you set up syncing with iTunes using USB, you can set up iTunes to sync to your device with Wi-Fi instead of USB. Here's how:
- Connect your iOS device to your computer with a USB cable, then open iTunes and select your device.
- Click Summary on the left side of the iTunes window.
- Select "Sync with this [device] over Wi-Fi."
- Click Apply.
When the computer and the iOS device are on the same Wi-Fi network, the iOS device appears in iTunes. The iOS device syncs automatically whenever it's plugged in to power and iTunes is open on the computer.

I have two iPads that will not let me sync over wi-fi. I've followed the directions and clicked the box for "sync this iPad over Wi-Fi" and hit the apply button. However, when trying to sync over wi-fi, I still get the message: "To enable Wi-Fi syncing with iTunes, connection to iTunes on your computer using a cable and click "Synch with this iPad over Wi-Fi." I've tried unclicking the box and applying, then clicking again and applying but nothing changes. I have no problems syncing over wifi with my newest iPad or my iPhone 7Plus.
How can I fix this issue?
