My Epson xp 202 won't print from my new MacBook Air 10.13

Hi,

I am trying to set up a printer on my new MacBook Air running El Capitan. The printer is an Epson XP-202. I tried to download the setup software but as soon as I try to launch it I get this message: "Epson information file execution program specified does not exist" and I cannot open the setup.

I have also tried to add the printer manually in system preferences, which seems to work but as soon as I wanted to print something nothing happens, so it seems like the laptop recognizes the printer but won't connect to it to print?

Can you please help me with this as I really need to set up the printer on my laptop asap!

Thanks!

MacBook Air, iOS 10.1

According to this Apple document, Printer and scanner drivers for Mac - Apple Support, your model is compatible. Download and apply the Epson Printer Drivers v3.3 for OS X driver installer package.

Epson Printer Software can be quite buggy with new verisons of MacOS, I would recommend to delete and reinstall all Epson related software (by searching it in Finder). If you have any connect services on the XP-202, I would check to see if there are any errors with thoes. Make sure your printer and Mac are propertly connected to the same network. Lastly, I would just try printing using “Command“ “P” (do this command when your on the document you want to print).
