My old laptop has a broken hinge and I cannot open it properly. I think I need a star mini screwdriver.
One of the hinges on my old Mac X laptop is crushed. Can i get it repaired?

Yup---probably. However, depending on its age, your local Apple store may not have the parts necessary to replace that hinge. I think the cutoff age is about 5-6 years. In that case, see if you can find an independent Mac repair place, give 'em a call, give 'em as much info about your Mac as you can, and see what they say. If you know the model or type of your MacBook pro, I'd suggest checking out iFixit, just to see what's involved in doing so.
good luck to you

You might try PowerBook medic. The Titanium G4s had miserable hinges but there are much better replacements available. They are a little dicey to replace unless you have above-average mechanical skill, but it can be done. Information may be found at http://www.powerbookmedic.com/xcart1/home.php?cat=407 among other places.
Give the good folks at iFixit a call, they are great to work with and have all kinds of parts and tools. www.iFixit.com
