How fast can the flashlight on the iPhone turn on and off per second?

Hi,

I want to know can the flashlight of the iPhone flash more than sixty times per second. If not, how fast can it be? Is this speed can be different on each model?

I don’t know you’ll find a definitive engineering answer anywhere since Apple doesn’t publish the exact make, model, type of LED used (I think the fastest photo strobes all use CREE LEDs). But some apps may give a hint that iOS itself may be the restricting factor. This app

Says an iPhone can strobe at 40Hz if running iOS 9 or greater.
