2013 iMac running Mojave really slow to boot up, flashes on then off then on again

My late 2013, 27 inch iMac running OS 10.14 Mojave is really slow to wake from sleep. It will then flash on then off then comes on for use. It also takes a few seconds to connect to my touch pad. The slow boot and flashing off then back on has been going on for a while but the slow touchpad is new with Mojave.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

As the report says you have some adware installed. Rerun Etrecheck and remove the adware and orphaned file using the links provided.

Also you have some anti-virus software installed. Macs do no need AV software. It's only lightens your bank account and drags down system and application performance. Google search for instructions to remove the Trusteer and AVG software.

I downloaded and ran the latest version of Etrecheck and this is the new report. I see if I want almost any information I now have to purchase same which, if it will solve my problem is fine.

There is nothing to remove based on the latest report and I can't remove anything from the old report as Etrecheck was outdated.

Thanks again

Gracias Pedro, I have found that now if the Mac has been asleep for a long time it comes on immediately when I touch the space bar but if it has just put the display down is when it seems to be slow and flashes off then on again and really takes a long time but, only sometimes, to come back on. I tried totally removing the Track Pad and reinstalling it so I will see if that helps with the Mac finding the Track Pad right away.

Good to hear others have this problem too.

One more thing, Etrecheck says I am running low on RAM so I was watching my activity monitor and sure enough I am starting to run short so I have ordered another 8 gigs of RAM. If that helps I will advise.

2013 iMac running Mojave really slow to boot up, flashes on then off then on again
