Charger Cable turning yellow

My Macbook Pro charger is turning yellow. This is the second charger I've had and the first one went yellow too. I take care of my chargers and make sure I don't yank them or get them tangled. Is it overheating? They last about a year and then start turning yellow. What should I do? Is there a way I can prevent this? This is the only charger I have an issue with. My iPhone charger doesn't do this.

This is due to the charger's core overheating. It can be potentially dangerous, fires and such, so it should be replaced immediately. The overheating is most likely from damage in the inside of the charger. I have personally experienced this myself and it resulted in my cat catching on fire (don't worry the cat is fine, it is probably its fault for eating the cord).
