How to add a folder on my iPad Files

I’ve been using the Files on my iPad, but now that I have lots of files I’d like to be able to separate them into new folders. I can’t seem to find a way to add a folder. Some folders just seem to pop up (I have 70 files in my Pages Folder, but I’d like some sub folders to organize things.

I don’t want them on the iCloud because I have to be able to access them when not connected to the Internet.

Assuming that you are using the On My iPad location in the files app and storing these files on the device, so this.

  1. Open the Files App.
  2. Tap on On My iPad location.
  3. Tap on Pages to open the files.
  4. Then pull down on the window on the right where all of your files are showing.
  5. Tap on the Folder with the + sign to create a new folder.
