After the iOS 12 update my social media apps won’t open, such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. How can I fix it ?

everytime I open instagram a white page opens , the screen gets stuck there and won’t let me lock the phone or go to the home page of my phone. Soon after the screen turns black then goes to the lockscreen and I have to put my password in. None of this was happening until I updated my phone.

Have you tried force restarting (rebooting)? Depending on your device, you might have to do it differently.

Follow these steps:

On an iPhone 8 or later: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
On an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus: Press and hold both the Side and Volume Down buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.
On an iPhone 6s and earlier, iPad, or iPod touch: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons for at least 10 seconds, until you see the Apple logo.

Yeah , I have the 7plus and I did that multiple times and it is still doing the same thing.
