ioS 12 VPN Configurations Not Able to be Deleted

I am using an iPad Pro 10.5” running iOS 12. I am unable to delete old VPN configurations. This what I have tried:

1. I went to Settings>General>VPN. I also went to Settings>VPN. Both of these routes took me to the same place.

2. I swiped left to right on the old VPN configuration to access a delete option, but none appeared.

3. I pressed the information icon ℹ, but there was no delete button in the configuration window.

4. I deleted the app (NordVPN) that established the VPN configuration, but the configuration remained.
