FaceTime Camera flip button hidden in iOS12

I feel that the redesign of the FaceTime app is very unfortunate. The camera flip button is now hidden away in a submenu. This makes flipping the camera during a FaceTime call very awkward. I’d wish that this be changed in a future update. Either bring back the flip button from the submenu to remain available even in full screen or make the camera effects button exchangeable with any submenu button.

It’s clear why they did this. They want to promote the animated face emojis, so they plopped the button front and center, hoping people would stumble upon it on accident while trying to flip the cameras. Very anti-user friendly on purpose to promote their new gadget. Guessing they will switch it back soon.
