Restart the keyboard detection wizard

Hi all,

anybody knows how I can restart the keyboard detection wizard for a logitech keyboard.

I have 1 key which is wrong (probably because I have hit the wrong key in the wizard)

many thanks

Hello peter_walker,

Thanks for asking the Apple Support Communities for help with getting the computer to recognize the keyboard you are using. Please try the steps provided in this help article: macOS Sierra: Specify a keyboard type - Apple Support

When you connect a keyboard that is not immediately recognized, Keyboard Setup Assistant automatically opens so that you can specify the keyboard type. macOS recognizes three keyboard types: ANSI, JIS (Japan), and ISO (Europe). The ANSI keyboard is a standard 101-key layout widely used in North America and many other parts of the world.

If you’re having trouble with your keyboard, you may need to specify the type manually. You can use Keyboard preferences to open Keyboard Setup Assistant and specify the keyboard type.

  1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences, then click Keyboard.

  2. Click Change Keyboard Type.

  3. Follow the onscreen instructions when Keyboard Setup Assistant appears.

Thanks and have a wonderful day.
