Help with the Philips PicoPix PPX2055

Greetings... I have just bought this beautiful second hand (like new) Philips PicoPix PPX2055 Projector and it just won't work on my MacBook Pro, all I can see is the Screen with the word Philips on it. When I click on the PICOPix viewer on the Launchpad it gives me the error "check if the USB is connected"... can someone please help as I am getting very frustrated... blessings...
