Had an issue with start up not HDD is un repairable

The other day my iMac froze. Only option I had was to hard reset, Once I Turned it back on it would get to the loading bar to full then turn back off.

iMac 21.5" 2.3GHz

I entered disk Utility and tried to First Aid all drives. Macintosh HD gets to 'Checking Catalog file' then scomes up with error

' The Volume Macintosh HD could not be verified completely.

File System check exit code is 8.

Restoring original state found as mounted.

Problem -69842 occurred while restoring the original mount state.

File system verify or repair failed.

Operation Failed.'

Ok no dramas ill try to run first aid on 'Apple HDD HTS5410'

i get an error.

'First Aid found corruption that needs to be repaired. To Repair the start up volume, run first aid from recovery.'

I then try Re-install macOS and get the message when selecting disk you want to install macOS

'This Disk has S.M.A.R.T errors

This Disk has a hardware problem that can't be repaired. Back up as much of the data as possible and replace disk.

I know I am asking the stupid question but can this be repaired some how?

If not, it is only 13 months old, Hoping apple will replace under warranty?

iMac, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)
