I am mystified at my iPad onscreen keyboard which has imoji key to far left with .?123 key in middle to left of mic key on left side of space bar. While my iPhone has it correctly on far left which is much better ergonomically? I keep getting keyboard when I want numbers or ? All images I see online show it the way I want it but my iPad is wrong!
What setting do I need to fix this ?

As I told you in your other post, you do not like this iOS 12 software keyboard change, post your complaint in the form of feedback using Apple’s iPad feedback page.
The only way to get Apple to listen to you is to use their feedback portion of their website.

If not enough users complain about this, Apple will never make the keyboard change back to how it used to be for many years prior to iOS 12.
Complaining here does absolutely nothing.
Apple seems to have arbitrarily relocated some of the keys, with no reason given, or method to change available.
