This is a very basic question. For some reason I am not able to find an icon to download movies on the ipad pro I bought this year. I am not sure if I changed a setting that is making it not possible to do. I don't see the apple store icon on the dashboard. It is there in the settings though. I simply want to download from the store directly to my ipad. Any advice is appreciated.

If you can't find the iTunes Store app (the App Store app is for downloading apps ; the iTunes Store app for downloading media i.e. music, films, TV programmes) check to see if you've hidden it (and assuming that your tagline is correct and the iPad is still on iOS 11.4.1) via Settings > General > Restrictions > iTunes Store 'off' (Installing Apps 'off' for the App Store) - the iTunes Store app should have a Purchased tab for redownloading past media purchases (those that are still in the store and which you haven't hidden)

Are these movies you bought (or want to buy) from Apple's iTunes store? Use the "iTunes Store" app, not the "Apple Store" app.
If they are from some other source, use the app for that source.
