Problems with Emptying Trash

I am running on IOS 10.3.1 and I have downloaded an application called Xcode-beta and it is about 12gb. It has that " No Entry " > 🚫 emoji on the app itself and I can't open it. I can move it to trash, however I cannot delete it permanently. Every time I try to empty it, the trash just stays on that loading page and nothing gets deleted even after an hour of leaving it there. I have tried First Aid, restarting, shutting down etc but nothing is working. Please help me, thank you!

Launch Terminal and at the prompt copy and paste this command:

sudo rm -rf ~/.Trash/*

You'll be prompted for admin your password.

Enter it (it will be invisible) then Press Return.

Make sure you are shutting down - not sleeping (check preferences - apple defaults power button to sleep - you have to hold it down for 15/20 seconds to shut it off.

What OS version are you using? IOS 10.3.1 is for devices.

Try holding down the option/alt key while trying to delete the Trash. If that doesn’t work, here is some more information.
