Missing fonts after Mojave 10.14 update

Hi - I updated my mac (latest 32GB MacBook Pro) to macOS Mojave v10.14 yesterday. Most of the fonts are missing. I did not install any of those fonts. Those were the default fonts available in the previous OS.

Any help is much appreciated.

Boot into Safe Mode then boot normally.

I have this problem, too. Font Book shows no fonts at all and freezes when trying to "restore all fonts." Booting in safe mode means that the fonts will appear in Font Book - temporarily, but they will disappear when I boot in regular mode. On top of that, even when booting in safe mode, some of the fonts do not display. The font shows up in Font Book with a name, but when you try to preview the font, it's nothing but question marks.
