iTunes equaliser doesn't work with airport express

Hi All,

my airport express is updated to the most current version (7.8) and I have iTunes 12.8.0.150 running too. Suddenly, the iTunes equaliser does NOT work when streaming to my speakers! What the **** is going on? Is there a fix for this from Apple? Or am i missing some basic setting somewhere? This is TERRIBLE!

just like the last update about 2 years ago, this update messed up my equalizer on iTunes when i turn on airport express to listen to my sound system this update, just like the update about 2 years ago, made the equalizer on iTunes to stop working whenever i turned on my airport express which is connected to my main sound system. Before I could just downgrade the update and the sound was perfect, now with this update, I could still downgrade, but the sound has no more equalizer

iTunes volume and equalizer not working Since the last iTunes update 12.9.0.164 I have problems with the volume slider. When I start iTunes the volume slider in the main panel does nothing. I have to click on the airplay icon, adjust the slider there, and then the main slider works. Same thing happens if I pause iTunes and then go back to it: the volume slider is dead again.I also just noticed that my Equalizer is dead. All frequencies are flat and selecting any of the presets does nothing.

Hi,

I had a problem with latest Airport express where play count was not being updated. I reverted to previous version 7.6.9.

If you don't need Airplay 2 I suggest that you revert to older version.

Open Airport Utility, select your AE, click on version no and this will show previous version no. Select 7.6.9.
