Macbook pro 2017 destroys any USB-C device plugged in

My Macbook pro 2017 destroys any USB-C device plugged in.

So far 4 usb mice, my apple battery case for iPhone 7 and a brand new Lacie HDD have all been fried.

I plug something in and it just kills it. It seems to sometimes work on some ports and not on others but eventually fries everything. I have a LG usb C display as well that works and is normally connected when the destruction happens.

I took my mac to the store and they did basic hardware test to no avail. The problem is persisting and this morning it has cooked 2 more mice. This is becoming a very expensive problem for me and renders the machine useless if I cant plug peripherals in.

Not sure what the next steps are.

MacBook Pro TouchBar and Touch ID, macOS High Sierra (10.13.6)
