iPad screen goes black after OS update

I just did the last edt OS install on my iPad and the screen goes black in the middle of any app usage,

the app does not force quit, but I have to go back to it and scroll to get where I was. I have read other posts

and tried the recommend fixes, force quitting the app, then reload...I also tried shutting down the iPad and

restarting to no avail. It is really annoying, especially because this did not happen until the update I did

that Apple kept suggesting I do. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, David

Try the following in order: (Note: If any step resolves the issue, STOP, do not go on to the next step.)

  • Restart your iPad To restart your (perform a soft reset) iPad, press and hold the sleep/wake button while pressing and holding the Home button. When you see the Apple logo, release both buttons. (Note: This will NOT delete any data or apps, nor change any of its settings.)
  • Perform a "Reset All Settings" reset: Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings

Note: These next steps will delete all apps and data off of your iOS device. Be sure to have backed up your device to either iCloud or iTunes before proceeding.

  • Reset your iPad to its factory default settings: Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings
  • Restore you iPad: To restore your iPad, connect it to your computer. When the iPad appears in the iTunes source list, click the Restore button on the Summary tab.
  • Make aGenius Bar appointmentat your local Apple Store or take it to anApple Authorized Service Provider.
