I am trying to open an MP4 video from a Huawei P20 Pro that was sent to me through Google Docs. I have a constant loading sign when trying to play it. When I open it in Premiere (which is what Im editing it on) i get a Green Screen and cant see any image but with clear audio. Confusing. These photos are all the problems Im facing.
I can open the file in VLC
If you can open the file in VLC, then open the Media Information (⌘I) window for that file, and have it show Codec Details. Please share that information for that file. Perhaps something shows up that could be important for compatibility.
H.265 (HEVC) is a relatively new video codec. You will need macOS High Sierra 10.13 or later, for QuickTime support of this codec.

Premiere Pro CC 2018 (12.0.1 or later) and a valid license (not Trial) is needed for H.265 (HEVC) support in Premiere.
Do you have confirmation that the file on Google Docs is good? Can other people open the same file that you are trying to open? (Bad copies do happen. Especially with big files, Google may turn off verification.)
If it is a very large file, did you get confirmation that the upload was successful and complete? (Working with a partial file may fail.)
Hi there. I have confirmation but, its besides the point. even when I try to simply upload the file to my computer by plugging in the Huwaei phone it does not work. I am sort of going a bit nuts as it does not make any sense. For some reason, I can open the file if its in the Google Drive or in VLC but when just put on my hard drive or desktop it is forever loading.
Hi. Still not working, this time when I import these files into the newest version of Premiere Pro CC the files now have a RED frame and sound works. Not sure what to do from here. The link to Apple Support only explains if its from an iPhone. Any solution?
