iPhone X could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1)

My iPhone X 256G unlocked purchased from Apple was working great until I try to update to IOS 12 thru iTunes v12.9.0.167 on Windows 10 x64 PC. I get the massage "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1)". I also try to update, restore to IOS 11.4.1 no luck. I also see a purple vertical line on screen. Any help is highly appreciated.
