Will changing my country/region in Apple ID to a the one where I do not reside put me at risk of losing access to my account?

I am fairly new to iPhone, I tried the Podcasts app for the first time. As I live in Pakistan, it is showing me Top Charts of the mentioned country. I don’t even want to go in details of how garbage the charts are. I want to change my Top Charts to US and I reckon the only way to do it is by changing my region/country of Apple ID. I am wondering, will this put me at a risk of beinh locked out of my account or worse, lock my iCloud? Sorry for the sounding like noob, any other workaround will be highly appreciated.

Your account might be locked. You are only supposed to use the store in the country where you live. To change to the US Store you would need a US billing address and a credit card issued in the US.
