iPhone Xs Max Heat Issue

Hi,

Does anyone has similar problem where their iPhone XS Max back feels very hot when doing some light tasks?

My iPhone gets hot near the back camera quite fast when doing some light tasks such as Video Calling, etc...

I am wondering if it is normal or a hardware/software issue where I should bring to Apple for diagnosing?

Regards,

iPhone XS Max, iOS 12

If you're concerned, feel free to take your phone in to be examined, but it's quite normal for the phone to get warn doing processor intensive tasks.

Video calling is actually one of the more extreme things a computing device has to do - mange incoming and outgoing high definition streams in real time.

If you’re labelling excessive heat as is not safe and switching off as you put it, then that is not what we’re saying we’re having.

Everything you’ve pointed out on why a phone may heat up is not what we previously have had experienced on our older iPhone devices.

I for one have had an iPhone from day one and have had every update along with my wife.

we are both retired and not so young now and we definitely don’t do what most younger generation do on their iPhones as far as games and so on.

You will find that most of us complaining of overheating never had experienced these issues as such with the previous iPhones we’ve had in the past.

just about everything that we were doing on the previously owned ones did not have this over heating problem.

Now you point the reasonings of overheating possibilities are irrelevant to our situations.

I for one have noticed from day one as soon as I Would put it for charging, not whil usin it.

But the wife’s phone which is exactly the same as mine does not have this issue.

So having read some posts having issues I’m having I have concluded that there is a defect with some of these iphones without doubt.

I wouldn’t be surprised now if I was to further search on other websites ( I have seen same issues on two other sites before this one) that there would be a whole lot more of the same overheating issues with the iPhone XS Max.

I haven’t seen anyone complaining about “excessive” heat here.

We’re not talking excessive heat here!

you will find that the majority of the people including myself are having an issue with the back of the phone heating up compared to when we have had the previous iPhones we had.

it is an issue, of course, an issue!!!! you keep saying "get warm" iT IS NOT WARM IT IS VERY HOT !!!! we can know as if it is a normal issue or not !! I am using iPhone 5s, 6, X, why none of them getting this issue? and only the Xs MAX so there must be something wrong with it (issue) !!! even my Huwaue P9 not getting this much hot when I am using it extensively!!!
