iPhone Xs Max Heat Issue

Hi,

Does anyone has similar problem where their iPhone XS Max back feels very hot when doing some light tasks?

My iPhone gets hot near the back camera quite fast when doing some light tasks such as Video Calling, etc...

I am wondering if it is normal or a hardware/software issue where I should bring to Apple for diagnosing?

Regards,

iPhone XS Max, iOS 12

If you're concerned, feel free to take your phone in to be examined, but it's quite normal for the phone to get warn doing processor intensive tasks.

Video calling is actually one of the more extreme things a computing device has to do - mange incoming and outgoing high definition streams in real time.

Im playing games and it gets so so warm and keep lagging while playing . Doesn't we supposed to get better with this high prices? This was not supposed to be happening with that kind of price tag. Im buying an Iphone cause i used to know the performance was amazing in games and other apps. But now its terrible. My friends were using 8 plus and 7 plus. they didnt face this problem even they played for hours. Im just about to play. 20-30 minutes it get warm and lagging . i took out the case as well while playing . still the same. Dont you guys think Apple need to find solution. Find the solution not Charging us again for the solution. Im a big fan of apple product. Please dont let me down .

If it was extremely hot and shutting down, I’d be expecting/demanding an exchange as the phone is only 3 months old.

I do think it’s an issue as explained on my previous post that none of my or our previous iPhones since iPhone has been around, I have never had one as very warm to hot like this one.

Unfortunatly there isn’t an iPhone store near by otherwise I would have taken it in the first time I started to have this issue.

just so anyo thinks I’m bad mouthing the iPhone it’s far from the truth otherwise my wife and I wouldn’t upgrade our iPhones almost every year religiously,

not to mention our kids that are all adults now whome all had a new one every year growing up.

I’ve been facing the same heating issue for a few days now. I purchased the phone for close to 1.3k usd and I am regretting it due to this. I have very less applications in my phone and I only use few social networking applications along with google maps. The phone gets heated up like I’ve been using it to play some high end graphics Game. I do not understand why they would let this happen to a phone that costs more than 1000 usd to buy. I do not know what to do with this phone since other comments suggests me that it would still be there even if the device is replaced. I am extremely disappointed with this purchase.
