iPhone XS MAX clicking when answering a call. I have already replaced the phone but the second one still does it. As long as the “vibrate” toggle switch is on, the phone clicks at the bottom speaker when answered.
NOTE TO APPLE: Please call an XS Max with vibrate on and listen to bottom speaker closely then answer it. This happens with or without “haptic” toggled on.

Im having the same issue, Today I went to Apple Store and 5 techs checked the phones, they tried to fix it by replacing the speaker and haptic engine and still not fix, so they gave me new phone.
When I went home and tried to test , The new phone doing it as well. Thats weird.
Is there any updates on the clicking or did anyone get their phone replaced for this issue by Apple? I also noticed when I slide to answer the call, my phone vibrates after I answer the call and then get the clicking from bottom speaker.
Interestingly, when the vibration is set to default “synchronization” and the phone rings, when you look at the phone the ringer volume is lowered do to facial ID but the vibration stops. Whereas on other vibration settings the vibration continues even if you look at the phone. Facial ID does not cause the vibration to stop therefore this may be what is causing the issue and so then it is software related.

I have the same issue on my iPhone X which i recently noticed too.
When i get a call and i answer it (Slide to answer) i hear 1/2 clicking sounds after i have answered it. I believe its an IOS 12 bug.
I have this issue as well and its annoying. Place your iPhone xs max on vibrate and you will hear a clicking sound when you pick up a call.
Any new information with regards to the clicking sounds heard when answering the phone?
I have the same issue on my XR.
What steps do you take to duplicate the problem??

Not sure what you mean. This thread is for receiving calls and when answering phone there is a crackling/clicking sound coming from the BOTTOM speaker.

I have the same exact problem with my xs max and its very annoying. I had to toggle off “vibrate on ring” to stop this from happening.
