Magic Trackpad - no haptic feedback

A few days after installing Mojave, I've lost haptic feedback.

Everything works except for the feedback.

How I tried to resolve it:

  • Made sure "Force Click and haptic feedback" is checked, also tried to uncheck it, check again
  • Turned the trackpad on and off using the switch
  • Hardwired the trackpad to my iMac
  • Restarted my iMac
  • Connected to it to my MacBook Pro

Nothing works.

Any suggestions?

iMac with Retina 5K display, macOS Mojave (10.14), Samsung U28D590

Finally managed to solve this.

  1. Open the terminal
  2. cd Library/Preferences
  3. rm com.apple.driver.AppleBluetoothMultitouch.trackpad.plist com.apple.AppleMultitouchTrackpad.plist
  4. Reboot
  5. Turn OFF the trackpad
  6. Turon ON the trackpad
  7. SOLVED

I tried these steps without turning the trackpad on and off - didn't work.

I tried turning the **** thing off and on without deleting the plists - didn't work.
