Why isn’t it letting me buy vbucks with my gift card?

I have redeemed my gift card for $10 and have that amount on my account. Whenever I go into fortnite and try to buy the $9.99 pack, it tells me I have insufficient funds and to put in my password. I do that, and it wants me to attach a card or paypal. Why isn’t it letting me use my $10 on the account?

Because that item is taxed in your area. You can use the $10, but you need to put in another gift card or other payment method to cover the tax.
