FaceTime Pausing?

Anyone else having this issue since the Mojave upgrade?

When FaceTiming on my MacBook Pro (to someone on an iPhone running iOS 12), if I try to do anything else on my Mac at the same time besides FaceTime (i.e. if I start using any other application), the person on the other end sees the conversation as paused. To make matters worse, there doesn't seem to be a way to unpause it other than to hang up and call back.

I have the "Always on top" option selected. I don't see any other options in the menu or preferences that would indicate there is an auto pause feature. Even the Apple documentation for FaceTime says that in order to pause the call, you have to minimize the window.

All of this worked just fine in High Sierra.

So, if a whole bunch of people are having this same issue, it would be good to know and then we can file bug reports.

I did some experimentation just now. As expected, FaceTime showed me as paused on the other end of the call when I tried to use another app (Safari) on my MacBook Pro. Switching back to FaceTime did not correct this, however, minimizing the FaceTime window, then clicking the icon in the dock unpaused it. Of course once I went back to Safari, it paused again.

However, I found that if I unselected the "always on top" option this fixed the issue, and it remained fixed when I reselected the "always on top" option. So it seems that this bug only occurs when the FaceTime call is originated with "always on top" option turned on.

Let me know if you can reproduce any of that. If so, then it might be worthwhile for us to each submit a bug report to Apple.
