It's not our 'new I book format', we are fellow users and these are user forums, you're not talking to Apple nor iTunes Support on here. If you want to leave feedback to Apple about something use their feedback site (and give details) : http://www.apple.com/feedback/
In your first post you said - only -
Cannot find what you have just downloaded
and I told you how. You're welcome.
I've no idea why you get argumentative with me, I'm only trying to help. Silly me.
Feedback goes here:
Just did as you suggested, however, its pretty lame as the pull down menus and apps are woefully out of date. They don't even have a selection for "Book", only "iBook". The devices that they ask you to pick from are also not updated. Sheest....

That does not get past the fact that books are now just stored in some gigantic heap on the floor which takes a lot more effort to sort and get into the respective bookshelves by making use of the list function; you would think the code writer could have added a column to allow the user to list the collection names; rather than some of the other useless information which I doubt most people even know exists. When you have a lot of books it is essential to have some sort of filing system. Even sorting by most recent provides a rubbish answer and is a mix based on what kind of metric - who knows because it does not make sense.
Agreed, for the life of me I can't see why the most excellent iBook app was changed to this current mess. It certainly will not promote book purchases and downloads.
I've downloaded (bought) close to a thousand books from the Apple Bookstore and often had many in my current reading list (you used to be able to name your own lists). Also many sample books may reside there. There is NO WAY that the search function would be of use unless you had all of that memorized. H@ll, I might not be able to tell you the name of the book/s I finished last week let alone all of the unfinished/unread/sample books!

Someone's little feelings got hurt because your answer was not very informative or helpful. As mentioned by some. When you have 1000's of books its a pain to have to remember names and authors of all of them. many times I just want to browse a type of book.
I hate it. It's hard to navigate and browse. I wanted to buy Lee Child's new book. Typed his name in the search field but the title did not come up. I finally found it and bought it. I wanted to browse the bargain books ($4.00 and under). I tried several times but each time Books closed.
Me too!
I tried to give it a chance, but I have to click so much to get back where I left.
Hate it!
Yeah, much the same. It now just seems to place everything in one big conglomerated mess. Cannot find what you have just downloaded and really is not an improvement.

Have you tried using the search? Three letters of the title or author's name gets it for me.
