call cannot be completed at this time

for some reason im getting the msg that my call is unable to be completed at this time for only one of my contacts. I can text and receive calls from the contact but cant call out. We checked and made sure that we didn’t accidentally block each other. I’m stumped.

Contact your cellular carrier. Calling is a carrier feature. The message is coming from them, not from your phone.

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding that you're unable to place and received calls from one specfic contact. I can see how this could be a bit confusing since you're able to successfully text with this individual. I'm happy to help.

I recommend deleting and adding this person from your Contacts, then test the issue again. If the issue persists, the steps in the link below may help:
