mojave photos app photo burst problem

Hello,

i'm pretty sure that the new MacOS Mojave Photos app doesn't recognize photo burst correctly (those one made before iOS 12). In fact, if i try to do an import, the app doesn't show bursts (made before iOS 12) as bursts but like standalone photos. Bursts made with iOS 12 are working fine as they should.

After import i can see bursts as "grouped" in library, and it's ok, but i can't select the main foto from the burst and seems it's showed as normal photo.

In the multimedia type album, if i select photo burst, it show only the newest bursts (iOS 12).

In the end, because the import goes in error and doesn't delete from phone correctly the bursts, if you do another import of the same burst (intended as you select the bunch of photos that compose the burst), you get error "duplicate bursts are not supported" for each photo. In my opinion, the existence of this error is very stupid... why i can't have a duplicate burst?

I'm the only one with this problem?

MacBook Pro (15-inch, Late 2016), macOS Mojave (10.14), with iPhone 6s Plus with iOS 12.0.1

Have you read other reports and know what we're looking for? Quit often the report shows us bad choices made by the user which contribute to the problem.

You don't have to buy the app if you don't want to. I used the free version for a long time before I decided to support the developer and purchase a license. It saves us considerable time in obtaining the information we need to help evaluate the situation.

Just took another burst and it transferred to my Photos library via My Photo Str3eam and I'm able to work with it as well as all of the earlier burst Photos.

Thank you for feedback.

I think Etrecheck is useless in this situation and, in fact, scan revealed no issues and no useful information (it's only usefull to grab 22.99$... is this post an adv? 🤔).

I guess Apple changed the method used to group bursts in iOS 12 and OS Mojave, but forgot to keep the old one in Photos app... so only an update can help.
I wait for someone else with the same problem (i think an import is needed to show up the bug).

I'm just kidding about adv 😉

Below the report. I'm also thinking to a database corruption during a crash...

With new bursts all work fine me too!
