Boot Camp Windows 10

I've installed Boot Camp on a new Macbook Pro 13". The windows 10 home installation went fine. However, I am unable to install the drivers that are included in the windows support file. I tried setup.exe in both the bootcamp folder in windows and also downloaded to a USB2.0 flash through the boot camp assistant. In both cases, using the setup.exe, the installation seems to hand on "Enumerating pre-install packages". Internet connection, etc. works fine in windows, but I do not have wireless access (no adapter without the drivers) or the boot camp application in the tray or in the control panel.

I deleted the partition and resinstalled a second time. Same thing. The setup does show as running in task manager, but the CPU usage is 0% for this task.

Has anyone else run into this issue?

This is what you have currently installed. In the Bootcamp.xml, you should see

<ProductManufacturer>Apple Inc.</ProductManufacturer>

<ProductVersion>6.1.6655</ProductVersion>

<ProductCode>{FCFFE6B6-BAE8-490E-88D0-097A9DA1C43D}</ProductCode>

Sorry, can you direct me? If I am on the PC I can go into the bootcamp drive\WindowsSupport\BootCamp\BootCamp.xml. What I posted above is the beginning of what shows in the xml file. Same if I pull it up on the UBS drive that I downloaded the drivers to.

No, Brigadier seems to identify your Mac and download the drivers that match. I tried older drivers from the Apple support site but, unfortunately, those are not for windows 10. I’d have no problem putting in a wireless driver but, since the adapter does not show in windows at all, that’s not possible.

Thank you for your help. I needed up using the —install in brigadier, which worked. I have the WiFi and the Boot camp app in the tray now. I don’t have sound, but that is a small price to pay I think.

Yes, I updated the sound driver and it works. I think the only remaining issue is that, when I click to restart in Mac OS on the BootCamp tray, it says that it “could not locate the Mac OS X boot volume”. I understand that issue t be common. Is that correct? Thx.

Yes, I think that is correct. I did it all directly from BootCamp Assistant in MAC OS.

Yep. I downloaded from there as well. Same issue, setup.exe hangs.

Do not use BC 5.x drivers. There are older BC6.x versions, which should be listed in the list, before the download starts. Do you see any older BC6.x versions?

In using Brigadier? I did not. However, I ran brigadier executable and did it adjust the code to download other drivers.
