error with snapshots

I ran Disk Utility because of the very slow starting iMac. The app found snapshots 1-6 but needed very long for repair. Where are these snapshots, snapshot metadata and tree located? Can one delete them?

iMac (Retina 4K, 21.5-inch, Late 2015), macOS Mojave (10.14), found running disk utility

They are stored on an invisible partition within the APFS container.

Learned about container. There was only one problem. When trying to delete it the deletion key was grayed out - in spite of several trials.
