Upgrading Desktop w/new graphic card

I have a 2012 MacPro desktop and wish to upgrade the OS to 10.14 but to do so requires a new graphic card. I purchased a EVEA GEFORCE GTX. I have a Cinema Display with mini DisplayPort connector and Unfortunately the Geforce GTX does not have a connection port for the mini connector. It has two DVI ports (single and dual), one HDMI, and a new port I'm not familiar with (same size as the HDMI). What I cannot find is an adopter with either DVI male or HDMI male to a mini connector male so I can hook up to my Cinema display connector. I don't even know if there is a male mini display connector adaptor for this setup. All that I have found seem to be female.

Another option would be to replace the present cable used on/for the cinema display with an upgraded cable that has a DVI connector on it but my guess is that none are accessible/available.

that last connector may be {full size] DisplayPort. it converts directly to [mini] DisplayPort as a re-wire -- only the connector size changes. Adapter/cable should be really cheap:

The last display made by Apple used a Thunderbolt2 connector which visually looks similar to a mini Displayport connector. A Thunderbolt cable will not work with this video card or the Mac Pro 2012.

The generation before that used a mini Displayport cable built-in to the screen so it cannot be swapped. An adapter like this DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort Adapter | Mini DisplayPort Cables & Cable Adapters | StarTech.com would do the job.

This works per company selling the unit: "Cable Matters DisplayPort to Mini DisplayPort Adapter (DP to Mini DP) - 6 Inches". Remember this is for an older Cinema Display. I have no idea what ports are available on newer models.

From your description you do not need a M/F mini displayport cable - which would only act as an extension cable, you need a full size Displayport to mini Displayport adapter. This would be a full size male Displayport to a female mini Displayport as per the link I provided.
