Date/time not showing on home screen after iOS update

I just updated my iPhone 6 to iOS 12.01. Unlike my iPad Air (which I also updated to iOS 12.01) which does show the date and time at the top left corner of the home screen, my phone does not show the date and time at the top left corner on the home screen. Any suggestions on what to do so my phone will show the date and time at the top?

Time My iPad has been updated to IOS14. The date and time seem to have disappeared from my screen when using apps. Why is this? Thanks
