iPhone 8 the phone app freezes

I have an iPhone 8 and it will freeze only in the phone app. It will not let me do anything in the phone app. I can ask Siri to call and call go in the contacts and dial from there. Once I restart my phone it will work.

(snap chat to be precise) I can still access siri the control panel the volume and my lock screen. however I cant get to my home screen or other apps even when I use siri. What do I do?

Phone app freezing on iPhone XS The phone app on iPhone XS keeps freezing. Sometimes it will work after 15 seconds of being frozen, other times I need to close the app or restart the phone. I have deleted all the visual voicemail as suggested on other threads but this hasn't helped. It is on 13.6.1.
