iOS 12 swipe messages on lock screen

why did update from ios11 to 12 change the lock screen swipe function? i swipe (text) messages and now they have three options: manage, view, clear.

i only need view or clear.

manage should not be available from the lock screen.

i use iPhone 6 hardware.User uploaded file

i have already managed my settings for lock screen banners in settings.

i don’t use a passcode.

every message i receive offers a manage

however, i cannot turn off the option of this “availability upon swipe.”

i hope this makes sense!

i don’t need the option to manage my banners available from the lock screen!

this is ridiculous.

it used to be (in previous iOS) just view or clear.

now, manage is available- from lock screen?

i’d ask, “how do i turn this feature off?” except i can find no way to do such and i read the iOS user guide .. all 300 pages.. back when it was all good on iOS 9. now the change to iOS 12 from 11& i have this third option of “manage” and it is useless!

i should be able to change this- somehow. but i don’t need to manage my banners or whatever from the lock screen.

basically, Settings should be enough. why add an additional option (on the lock screen)? view & clear .

it is clear to me this is redundant and useless. also, it makes security open rather than locked.

okay sure, i don’t use a passcode. so what!

i appreciate the updates. i read and download the user manual.

how do i turn off Notifications> Lock Screen> Banners > (Manage).

?

the option [to disable this feature] is not in the Settings> Notifications> Messages> Lock Screen.

i’d ask how to disable this except i think i can’t. why do i have this useless option available on my lock screen?

how do i disable “Manage” as an option from swiping a “Message“ ? lock screen should be simple and conveniently straightforward rather than full of abilities to manage such as view. manage should not be an option on my lock screen swipe..

that is what settings is for.

geez. thanks. three options is not as simple as the only two necessary: view/clear.

beyond that there is not any reason to have more options.

my opinion? sure. how can i disable this from my own opinion’s iPhone?

It is because the notifications stack now instead of being on a long list. If you have feedback send it here -Product Feedback - Apple
