Hello, I've recently just upgrade from garage band to Logic Pro X and am trying to import a project from garageband into logic. I was under the impression this was suppose to be fairly easy however, every time I try to import I get a message saying this project is only compatible with garageband. Any ideas why or how I could change that?

Which versions of Logic Pro X and GarageBand do you have installed? and which version of GarageBand created the project? Are you trying to open the GarageBand project in Logic or to import it?
Logic Pro X can open GarageBand projects, but not import them into other Logic Pro X projects. If you want to import GarageBand project as a track to a Logic Pro project, convert it to Logic Pro X, then import the converted project. Use "File > Open" in Logic Pro X to convert the GarageBand project to Logic Pro X. After that you should be able to import the converted version to an existing Logic project.

I have Logic Pro X, version 10.4.2 installed and the same version of GarageBand as you. When I select a project, that I recently opened in GarageBand 10.3.1, ctrl-click it, then select "Open with Logic Pro X", Logic will ask where to save the converted project and opens it.
You may have used loops or sounds, that are not supported by Logic.
As a test create a new GarageBand project and use only a sound, that you are also seeing in Logic. Can you open this project in Logic Pro X?
I have Logic Pro x and Garageband 10.3.1, which I created the project in. I'm trying to open it in logic to continue working on it.
Right! But every time I do that it says this project is only compatible with garage band for iOS, and I don't know why because the project was created on my Mac, I never used the iOS version.
