Should the MacOS volume under container disk 2

I was taking a look on the Disk Utility, and I found that my MacOS volume is under the container disk 2. I thought it should be under container 1. Is this considered normal? Plus, there are two not mounted volumes under it. I worry about this because I messed up around the disk partition stuff couple hours ago. And just have it fixed. May anyone would be able to explain this to me a little more? Because I'm kinda confused how these contain disk work too. Any help or resource to read will be appreciated! Thanks!

A Container under APFS is much like a Partition on other file systems. However, you don't get any option to name the Container. They are created sequentially. If you erase an APFS drive, the newly created file system will create a sequentially named Container, not Container 1.

Within the Container are Volumes which all share the storage space of the parent container. You can set disk quotas on the Volumes when you create them, but otherwise they all share the same storage space.

The two unmounted volumes are Preboot and Recovery. They do not need to be mounted unless they are being used (i.e. booting or Recovery).

Container disk1 must have gotten renamed at some point, after a reinstall from Recovery would be my guess(?) or in deleting a partition. Named disk2—the next available disk number.

No harm. Looks fine. The numbering system is relative— does not have to be sequential in your case.

As mention above "you don't get any option to name the Container"

For what ever reason this would be important to you (?),

yes You can always erase/reformat the disk and set back up as new install.

Boot into Internet Recovery or from a bootable USBinstaller and use the Disk Utility.

Verify fro DU>View>Show all Devices and erase/reformat the parent Device.
