i forgot the original 4 digit passcode that i had initially set up, myself. And so of course i guessed and guessed and guessed until I disabled the iphone and im not sure how to hard reset it. Ive hooked it up to my laptop but my laptop doesnt support itunes so i literally cannot get into it to reset it. I was trying to find a way around it because i know my icloud/itunes account log in information, so i thought i could go into my icloud and press remove this device where my iphone shows as logged in, and it would eliminate the password, because it would be removing the icloud of course and all the data that comes with it. Ive tried hard resetting it a thousand times, and i cant get it to work for anything. i read online prior to where it said to press the volume up quickly and the volume down quickly and then the power button and its not getting me anywhere whatsoever. Im just so confused, thank you for trying to help though.
Yeah, it's a lot easier for us to provide the correct help info if you explain the issue rather than ask how to do what you have determined is the best route.
So, in your case, you have a Disabled Device, so you have to hook it up to iTunes on a computer. Why doesn't your laptop support iTunes? Because you do have to hook it up to a computer running iTunes in order to re-enable it: If you see the Connect to iTunes, or you forgot your passcode, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
If you simply have no way access iTunes on your computer, then you can take your device to any friend's house or to any Apple Store, and hook it up to erase it there. But you do have to connect it to iTunes to fix your issue. There is nothing else you can do but erase it via iTunes at this point.

If you are trying to reset your device, you need to do it exactly as described below:
Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then, press and hold the Side button until you see the Apple logo.
Messing with your iCloud settings is not going to help you reset your device. You really don't want to start messing with those settings or with the devices that are showing as linked to your Apple/iCloud ID. Linked or not, it has absolutely no effect on anything you do with your device. The only time you would want to do that is if you were preparing your device to sell, and then there are several other things you need to do, and resetting your device is not one of them.
Can you explain what the issue is and why you are wanting to do a reset?
