Why are some alarms toggled grey? Green means it’s active/ON, and blackened means it’s OFF/inactive.

iPhone Xs

ios 12.0.1

alarm features work fine, just wondering why some have a GREY toggle and not green or black.

Hi, TmShady!

I see from your post that you have a few alarms set on your iPhone XS. While they work, some of the toggle switches are greyed out so can't turn them on or off. I'm happy to help!

Based on what you've described, I would suggest starting by force closing your Clock app How to force an app to close on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support , and then restarting your iPhone: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support .

If the issue continues, the next step would be to backup your iPhone: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support , then use the "Reinstall iOS" steps of If you see the Connect to iTunes screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support to do just that: reinstall iOS 12.0.1.

Have a wonderful day.
