Can't mount a share in Mojave

Prior to upgrading to Mojave, I could mount a share from my iMac to my Macbook Pro. Since upgrading both, though, I can no longer do that. I go to connect to the iMac via the icon under Locations in Finder and fill in my authentication details, and I just get "Connection failed". I am able to get a Share Screen connection to the iMac from the same Finder window, so the general connection and credentials are OK. I tried both my ID and password from the remote system and my Apple ID and get the same results. I have pasted the console entries from after the failure below, although they don't seem to indicate much.

default 13:46:57.155297 -0400 NetAuthSysAgent MechType session created for host "mymac1._afpovertcp._tcp.local", service "afpserver".
