Isof at 99% CPU for not logged-in user
sorry if this is the wrong forum - I just have no clue where to ask this ...
For the past two days the fan on my new MBP runs more often than usual.
Looking at Activity Monior there's a process called "Isof" (don't know if it's a lower case "L" or an upper case "i" at the beginning) that runs between 96 and 99% CPU for an existing but not logged-in user account.
It uses a tiny amount of real and virtual memory but keeps staying at the top of CPU usage.
What is Isof and what causes it to run ?
Easy terms please (I do not know anything about UNIX).
Thanks or any pointers.
chris
