My iPad is getting on in years and is slowing up. I'm considering buying a replacement but wondered about the possibility and cost of getting Apple to refurbish it for me.

Apple sells refurbished iPads, but I'm quite sure that they do not refurbish a device for an individual. So you can buya refurbished unit, but it will not be your old device.
I do not believe that's a service they offer.
