iPhone X SMS notification sound

Hi, I recently purchased iPhone X, I am noticing that the first SMS alert sound is not proper, it gets hung while making a sound and sounds weird... not sure if anyone of you noticed or experienced this? This issues is only with SMS notifications, other notifications are good.

No iPhone SMS Notification Sound I do not get a notification sound for SMS texts, specifically automated texts. I do get a visual notification, just no alert sound. This is very specific to SMS texts. All other alert sounds work fine including iMessage alerts, i.e. any messages from iPhones. There are no other symptoms. I cannot find any settings that are unique to SMS/MMS. I've had this problem forever (at least a year) through multiple reboots and iOS version upgrades. I'm looking for any ideas!

Text message notifications are making an EXTREMELY loud sound. So, I recently switched over from iPhone Xs to iPhone 11. The software version is 14.2. Before I switched to the iPhone 11, I have never had this problem on my iPhone Xs or even my iPod 6th Generation, iPad Air 2, or even iPad 2, or MacBook. None of them have had this problem. The problem is when I get a text message, *SOMETIMES* it will start off at normal volume for a split second, and then the notification sound will start playing at EXTREMELY loud volume, and I, who has very sensitive ears and doesn't expect it, usually jump up in surprise. I can try to get footage of this glitch, but so far, I have none. If I manage to get footage of the notification playing, I will update this. Please help. This is very annoying.

Please check:

Settings>Sound&Haptics>SMS ringer...tap on it and choose a different sound.

and/or

Settings>Notifications>Messages... and check that there you have the same sound.

When done, restart your iPX.
